2014 on Track to Be Hottest Year on Record

2014 on Track to Be Hottest Year on Record

NOAA data suggests that 2014 is on a trend to edge out 2010 as the warmest year on record globally

Just days after NASA data showed that August 2014 was the warmest August on record, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration confirmed the ranking and raised the ante: There’s a good chance 2014 could become the warmest year on record.
“If we continue a consistent departure from average for the rest of 2014, we will edge out 2010 as the warmest year on record,” said Jake Crouch, a climatologist with NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center, during a press briefing Thursday.
Specifically, if each of the remaining months of the year ranks among the top five warmest, 2014 will take the top spot, he said.
The news may come as a surprise to those living in the eastern portion of the U.S., which has seen a relatively cool year so far, with a frigid winter followed by a near-average summer (which seemed extremely mild compared to recent steamy summers). But the global picture shows that the East was “pretty much the only land area in the globe that had cooler-than-average temperatures,” Crouch said. (The western U.S., on the other hand, has been baking.)
For the year-to-date, the globe has measured 1.22°F above the 20th century average of 57.3°F, which makes January-August 2014 the third warmest such period since records began in 1880. The record-hot August marks the 38th consecutive August and the 354th consecutive month with a global average temperature above the 20th century average, according to the NCDC.
The oceans have fueled much of this year’s warmth, with parts of the Indian Ocean and central Pacific, among other spots, recording their record warmest conditions in both August and the entire January-August period. “And most of the oceans were much warmer than average” during that period, Crouch said.
The Pacific warmth is due in part to the El Nino that has been struggling to develop there for much of the year. An El Nino is defined by warmer-than-average sea surface temperatures in the tropical central and eastern Pacific and tends to raise global temperatures; some El Nino years rank among the warmest on record.
Of the five warmest years on record (2010, 2005, 1998, 2013, and 2003, in that order), only 2013 and 2014 didn’t start with a mature El Nino, according to NOAA. Of the top 10 warmest years on record, 1998 is the only year that didn’t occur in the 21st century, showing how much global temperatures have risen due to the increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

While some argue that a weak El Nino has arrived, it has not yet been officially declared by NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, which makes such a ruling when the temperatures in a particular region of the eastern Pacific reach 0.5°C (0.9°F) above normal for more than a month and when the atmospheric patterns typically seen with an El Nino are in place. These patterns haven’t been seen yet, and the temperatures have only recently crossed the threshold, said CPC scientist Dan Collins during the briefing.
If the El Nino does officially develop, which has been given a 65 percent chance of occurring over the rest of the year, “that’s another sign that global conditions will continue to be warm for the rest of 2014,” Crouch said, bolstering the chances that 2014 will top the record books.

Hugging Trees in the Age of Climate Disruption

Hugging Trees in the Age of Climate Disruption

As the legend goes, a villager named Amrita Devi noticed the men wandering onto her land, cutting down her precious khejri trees. Outraged, she wedged herself between the axmen and a tree, hugging it with all her might. She is rememered as saying, “If a tree is saved from felling at the cost of one’s head, it should be considered a good deed.” The men were not impressed; Devi was decapitated in front of her two daughters. Trees continued to fall. (Source: katesennert.com)
On Sept. 21, 2014, the People’s Climate March will commence in New York City as world leaders gather for a United Nations emergency summit on climate change. Thousands of organizations have signed on and many demonstrations have been planned across the country on that day. Perhaps more than one million people will descend on Manhattan Sept. 21 to support environmental and human survival. Almost inevitably, someone from the media or a prior or the current administration will throw around the label “tree hugger” and no one will be shocked. In preparation for the march and in reflecting on the perceived negativity of this label, I’ve been thinking about the heroines of the Chipko (“tree-hugging”) movement in India.
In 1730, Amrita Devi watched men with axes enter her village with an order from the Maharajah — to cut down trees needed to build his new palace. The trees were the villagers’ source of life, the only green in an otherwise barren landscape. The forest shielded the people from the desert, protected their fragile water supply and provided fodder for the cows and twigs for the fire. What’s more, the trees and animals were sacred and not to be harmed, according to the rules of their Hindu sect.
Amrita Devi tried to reason with the men, but they had their orders. They entered the forest with axes raised. Amrita Devi boldly walked past the bewildered men and stretched her thin arms around a tree saying, “If a tree is saved, even at the cost of one’s head, it is worth it.”
Amrita Devi was beheaded protecting the trees. When her three daughters stepped up to take her place, they, too, were beheaded. It is said that 363 villagers were killed that day, trying to save the trees that were essential to their lives.
When the Maharajah heard about the massacre, he was appalled at the loss of life. As the story is told, he declared a permanent injunction against felling the trees or killing the wildlife in the area of the massacre and exempted the villages of that region from land taxes. Today, the Bishnoi villages of Jodhpur are a tourist attraction, green and beautiful, filled with animals and birds, in an otherwise desolate region. Amrita Devi is honored as one of the world’s first eco-warriors.
The Chipko Movement was reborn in the 1970s as developers descended on the Himalayan forests seeking short-term profit. Deforestation led to environmental disasters. In monsoon season, landslides and floods devastated the regions where tree roots once secured the land.
One day in March 1974, when the men of Reni were away, laborers with axes and guns showed up with government permits to fell the trees. A little girl saw them and raced to get Gaura Devi who quickly alerted 27 other women. Together, they marched to the forest and confronted the men.
Gaura Devi (1925-1991) was unschooled, but wise. She said, “Brothers, this forest is like our mother. You will have to shoot me before you can cut it down.” The men laughed.
Dodging obscenities and threats, the women stood between the men and the trees until the workers, frustrated and exhausted, backed down. It took months of vigilance and protest, but the people, with women in the lead, saved their trees.
The rural Chipko movement has been an inspiration to ecology activists around the globe. In 2008, twig sculptures of the tree-hugging women created by Klub Gaja, a Polish environmentalist group, greeted delegates at the entrance to the UN’s climate change conference in Poznan, Poland.
How can I, a woman living in 21st century New York City, understand this story? If I’m thirsty, I turn the tap, and clear, drinkable water comes out. If I want to cook my dinner, I turn another knob and a small, controllable ring of fire appears on my stovetop. I can’t imagine using 85 percent of my time walking to get water or firewood. Can any of us?
But then, I remember the water crisis in Detroit, droughts in California, Texas and the Great Plains region, mountaintop removals and coal mine exploitation in West Virginia, deforestation of the Southeastern U.S. for European utilities and the 2,000 square miles of Louisiana coastline that has disappeared in the past 80 years. Across the U.S., we’re all facing environmental degradation and the adverse affects of climate change – in our own backyards. If the term “tree hugger” means valuing long-term life – the lives of our family members and communities – over short-term profits, then perhaps it’s not such a bad name after all. When it comes to the security and safety of our families, we’re all a little “tree hugging” by default. In any case, we’re well past the time for “tree hugging.” It’s really all about “life saving” at this point.

IPCC's Devastating Climate Change Conclusions

'Severe... Pervasive... Irreversible": IPCC's Devastating Climate Change Conclusions

A draft of the UN panel's synthesis report on the global scientific community's assessment of human-caused global warming offers the starkest and most strongly-worded warning yet of the dangers ahead
(Image: flickr / cc / Kevin Gill)
Climate change is here. Climate change is now. Climate change will be significantly more dangerous, deadly, and expensive if nothing is done to correct humanity's course, but aspects of future shifts are probably already irreversible.
That's the assessment of the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which has sent world government's a draft of its final "Synthesis Report" which seeks to tie together previous reports the panel has released over the last year and offers a stark assessment of the perilous future the planet and humanity face due to global warming and climate change.
Based on a clear and overwhelming consensus among the world's leading scientists, the draft says that failure to adequately acknowledge and act on previous warnings has put the planet on a path where “severe, pervasive and irreversible impacts” of human-caused climate change will surely be felt in the decades to come.
"The report tells us once again what we know with a greater degree of certainty: that climate change is real, it is caused by us, and it is already causing substantial damage to us and our environment. If there is one take home point of this report it is this: We have to act now." —climate scientist Michael MannIn a clear statement regarding the dangers of continued inaction, the draft report declares: “The risk of abrupt and irreversible change increases as the magnitude of the warming increases.”
Obtained by several media outlets—including the Associated Press, the New York Times, and Bloomberg—the draft includes not new information per se, but employs stronger language and contains a more urgent warning than the previous reports from the IPCC which it attempts to synthesize and summarize.
Asked for his reaction to the draft, Pennsylvania State University climate scientist Michael Mann wrote this to the AP in an email: "The report tells us once again what we know with a greater degree of certainty: that climate change is real, it is caused by us, and it is already causing substantial damage to us and our environment. If there is one take home point of this report it is this: We have to act now."
As IPCC Chairman Rajendra Pachauri explained in a statement, the last report—which still faces a final review, editing, and approval process—will is designed integrate "the findings of the three working group contributions to the IPCC’s Fifth Assessment Report and two special reports" and "provide policymakers with a scientific foundation to tackle the challenge of climate change." Taken together, the IPCC reports and their recommendations are designed to help governments and other stakeholders work together at various levels, including a new international agreement to limit climate change, he said.
According to the Associated Press, which reviewed the 127-page document, the IPCC draft
paints a harsh warning of what’s causing global warming and what it will do to humans and the environment. It also describes what can be done about it.
“Continued emission of greenhouse gases will cause further warming and long-lasting changes in all components of the climate system, increasing the likelihood of severe, pervasive and irreversible impacts for people and ecosystems,” the report says. The final report will be issued after governments and scientists go over the draft line by line in an October conference in Copenhagen.
Depending on circumstances and values, “currently observed impacts might already be considered dangerous,” the report says. It mentions extreme weather and rising sea levels, such as heat waves, flooding and droughts. It even raises, as an earlier report did, the idea that climate change will worsen violent conflicts and refugee problems and could hinder efforts to grow more food. And ocean acidification, which comes from the added carbon absorbed by oceans, will harm marine life, it says.
Without changes in greenhouse gas emissions, “climate change risks are likely to be high or very high by the end of the 21st century,” the report says.
And the New York Times noted:
“Politicians have come together too many times with nothing more than rhetoric and empty promises in tow. Next month, thousands of true leaders will be marching on the streets of New York demanding real action. The question is, will our elected leaders follow.” —David Turnbull, Oil Change InternationalUsing blunter, more forceful language than the reports that underpin it, the new draft highlights the urgency of the risks that are likely to be intensified by continued emissions of heat-trapping gases, primarily carbon dioxide released by the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas.
The report found that companies and governments had identified reserves of these fuels at least four times larger than could safely be burned if global warming is to be kept to a tolerable level.
That means if society wants to limit the risks to future generations, it must find the discipline to leave a vast majority of these valuable fuels in the ground, the report said.
It cited rising political efforts around the world on climate change, including efforts to limit emissions as well as to adapt to changes that have become inevitable. But the report found that these efforts were being overwhelmed by construction of facilities like new coal-burning power plants that will lock in high emissions for decades.
From 1970 to 2000, global emissions of greenhouse gases grew at 1.3 percent a year. But from 2000 to 2010, that rate jumped to 2.2 percent a year, the report found, and the pace seems to be accelerating further in this decade.
The IPCC draft will not be finalized until after government's have a chance to weigh in on the report and following a meeting in Copenhagen slated for late October.
In September, the United Nations is hosting its next international climate summit in New York City and climate campaigners are hoping to capitalize on the meeting by planning what they are calling the "People's Climate March" during the same week as a way to apply pressure on world government's to finally act on the issue.
If nothing else, the leaked IPCC draft report will serve to galvanize and add weight to the climate justice movement, which has consistently demanded that world leaders respond to the crisis with action -- not words.
As David Turnbull, director of campaigns for the group Oil Change International, which is signed-on to support the New York march said recently: “Politicians have come together too many times with nothing more than rhetoric and empty promises in tow. Next month, thousands of true leaders will be marching on the streets of New York demanding real action. The question is, will our elected leaders follow.”

The Coming Judgement Upon the World

The Coming Judgement Upon the World

Sept 25, 2014
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Humanity is plunging over the cliff at warp speed in 2014...

The world is run by a bunch of sick, sadistic, evil, wicked JEWISH psychopaths who
are hell-bent on destroying all life on Earth, including themselves and they world they inhabit.

They are clinically INSANE, completely OUT OF CONTROL, insidiously evil, lawless and
quite ruthless in their ways.

The small cabal of International JEWISH (Rothschild) Bankers, headquartered in the CITY of London, UK, serve the current "god" of this world: Lucifer.  The crimes, deaths, murders,
sufferings and genocides they have committed, and will continue to commit, are so extensive,
so numerous, so great and so profound that they cannot even be properly documented in any
earthly format or record.  Only an accounting from On High can document the sum of their transgressions-

On their immediate agenda is the fomentation of World War 3 in the middle east- which will kill billions of people and a global depopulation program of mass extermination consisting primarily of the release of lab produced bio-weapons and the instigation of global pandemics.

Other ongoing eugenics programs include continued chronic and purposeful underdevelopment policies in the developing world that
have, and will continue, to destroy the lives of tens of millions around the world every year, the pollution and toxification of our food and water with GMO crops, radiation and fluoridation, and,
of course, unending warfare.

However, their prime objective is to set up a world government on Earth that they and their demonic overlords above intend to rule and reign over.

Instead of funding, promoting and building a survivable/sustainable Green World Order for Mankind,
they have instead funded and built a a sprawling military-industrial-intelligence-surveillance-security complex ( a global 4th Reich) through which they will use advances in biometric computer technology to control and enslave the masses with in what is referred to in revelational scripture as the dreaded, "mark of the beast".

Because of this misappropriation, the planet has recently crossed the "tipping point" with regards to runaway global climate change, which now has humanity "locked-in" to a 5-10 degree fahrenheit increase by 2100.  This will prove to be absolutely catastrophic for all life on Earth in the years to come, a fact the Jewish Rothschild Empire and their demonic overlords and minions above are well aware of.

As such, 2014 (Hebrew year 5774) is the "stargate" year through which the human species will formally and irretrievably lose its future and begin to plunge over the cliff and into the abyss of eventual and complete planetary extinction.  This is the point (and year) of no return, the threshold of assured civilizational and planetary termination in grand evolutionary terms.  Hebrew year 5774 is also, coincidentally, the year that Jewish Rothschild funded ISIS organization- in the middle east- destroyed the tomb of Jonah in Mosul, Iraq, thereby eternally sealing their own fate in Hell for the rest of eternity.

With the soon passing of Hebrew year 5774, so shall this statement be my last communique to this most evil, wicked and adulterous generation, warning of the tribulation and global destruction that is now sure to soon transpire upon the Earth.

***To the holy remnant scattered abroad: Fear not physical death, for they can only kill the flesh.
The spirit is immortal and will survive the coming tribulation.

***To the wicked of this world: In a word, you're going down, big time and bad.  To eternal Hell-Fire
you will ALL be cast at the Judgement- a most fitting recompense for the crimes you have all willfully and maliciously committed.

The Coming Judgement of God Upon this World, of both flesh and spirit, is all that's left now.

All has been lost, yet all has been gained.  For Jesus Christ is coming back in FLAMING FIRE
to put an utter and complete END to the madness, evil and insanity of this fallen world.

Come quickly LORD Jesus Christ- may you BURN and EXTERMINATE the Wicked from off the face of this planet for all time!!!

The END of the USA

July 27 2014

Dear Editor:

Well, word through the grapevine predicts that the United States
of America will be terminated as a nation state by 2017. The nation is 18
trillion dollars in debt and is already falling fast with regards to losing
its
precious freedoms and liberties. Fall all intents and purposes, the
USA is now a bankrupt, dictatorial, east german style fascist police state.
The BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) recently
signed an agreement in Brazil in mid-July 2014 to set up an alternative
global financial system to not only challenge, but to replace, the current
failing global financial system dominated by the West, US military supremacy
and a global economic system based on the environmentally destructive
petrodollar. This will include a new World Bank, a new IMF (international
monetary fund), new international development agencies etc…
The BRICS nations are joined by another 105 nations in the world-
out of a total of 189. This new global political, economic and social bloc
consists of 2 of the most populous nations on Earth: India and China,
both with well over a billion people each. China, already a global economic
power in its own right, is soon slated to take the mantle of being the
world’s
leading economic powerhouse in the years to come. Plans are to merge
the USA, Canada and Mexico into a North American Union (NAU), with
Denver, Colorado acting as its regional administrative capital. Along with
an end to national sovereignty, plans are to create a new silver or gold
backed currency- the “Amero”- billions of which have already been printed up
and are ready for circulation once the US dollar collapses and the USA is
formally terminated.

Ciao!

ISIL Members Dig Up Grave of Biblical Prophet Jonah, Torch 11 Churches as Christian Population Rapidly Shrinks in Iraq

A local Nineveh official in Iraq confirmed last Friday with almost certainty that militant members of the Islamic state in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) dug up the grave of revered biblical prophet Jonah (Younis in Arabic) in the east of Mosul as Christians continue to flee that country by the hundreds daily.
In an Iraqi News report, the official, Zuhair al-Chalabi said since ISIL militants invaded Mosul, they have controlled the mosque of Jonah and have strong evidence suggesting that his grave has been disturbed.
"The elements of ISIL controlled the mosque of the Prophet Younis in Mosul since they invaded the city. It is still held by them until now," said Chalabi, explaining that "elements of ISIL engaged in the process of tampering with the contents of the Mosque."
"There is almost certain information stating the fact that the elements of ISIL dug up the grave of the Prophet Younis," he added.
Christian leaders in Iraq insist that Muslims and Christians have lived peacefully together for a long time but fear the current violence could hasten the end of nearly 2,000 years of Christianity in Iraq.

According to archbishops from Baghdad, Mosul and Kirkuk in a Reuters report, war and sectarian conflict in Iraq shrunk the country's Christian population to about 400,000 from 1.5 million in 2003. Now Christians are fleeing to places like Turkey, Lebanon and Western Europe, hastening the demise of almost 2,000 years of Christianity in Iraq.
"The next days will be very bad. If the situation does not change, Christians will be left with just a symbolic presence in Iraq," said Chaldean Catholic Patriarch Louis Raphael Sako, who is based in Baghdad. "If they leave, their history is finished."
"Our presence was a symbol of peace, but there's so much panic and few Christians see their future in Iraq," said Kirkuk's Chaldean Catholic Archbishop, Youssif Mirkis.

Toward a Third Jewish Temple (In Which Antichrist Will Present Himself As God): Phase One, Let Jews Pray On Mount

Movement on the Jerusalem Temple Mount

05/19/2014 22:23

Jews and Muslims both pray at the Tomb of Samuel the Prophet outside Jerusalem, and at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron. There is no reason why they cannot do so at the Temple Mount.

After several exasperating decades, one of the thorniest and most painful issues on Israel’s public agenda may at last be heading toward a resolution. In a move underlining the national consensus regarding the Temple Mount, Likud MK Miri Regev and Labor MK Hilik Bar have reached across the aisle to prepare a joint bill that would allow Jews to pray at the nation’s holiest site.
The proposed law, which is slated to be submitted soon to the Knesset for approval, would right one of the most glaring wrongs on Israel’s human rights record. It would end discrimination against Jews who wish to commune with their Creator on the Mount without fear of arrest.

Don’t believe the media’s attempts to paint this bill as “controversial.” The only thing controversial about it is that there is a need for such a bill in the first place. Incredibly, despite Supreme Court rulings upholding the right of Jews to freedom of worship on the Temple Mount, the police have never – not once! – allowed this right to be exercised.

Instead, Jews who visit the Mount are subjected to humiliating restrictions designed to ensure that they do not pray. These include prohibitions on silently moving one’s lips, lest one clandestinely try to beseech God, or even bringing a Bible or prayer book to the site.

In recent months, several US congressmen visiting Israel under the auspices of the Yes to a Strong Israel! organization headed by the indefatigable Ruthie Lieberman have witnessed this discrimination firsthand.

Indeed, just last week, Rep. Andrew Harris (R-Maryland) and Ron DeSantis (R-Florida), toured the site accompanied by the Temple Institute’s Rabbi Chaim Richman. Speaking afterwards to reporters, Harris said, “I’m actually surprised that access is so limited and especially [by] the discrimination against Jews above any other religion in visits to the Temple Mount. It surprises me as an American, believing in religious freedom, that such conditions would exist.”

And yet they do, despite Israel’s ostensible commitment to freedom of worship.

In a scandalous act of submissiveness, the government has allowed the extremist Muslim Wakf to call the shots on the Temple Mount, where it thumbs its nose at Israel and its laws and denies Jews their basic rights.

But hopefully, that is about to change.

As Labor MK Hilik Bar, a solidly left-wing parliamentarian, put it: “I believe that coexistence between Arabs and Jews begins with full equality also on the Temple Mount.” Bar added that, “The Muslims must understand that we too have a right to prayer there. If someone on the Left has complaints against Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount, it will be difficult for him tomorrow to speak out against harming the rights of other nations.”

Bar is absolutely correct, and he and Regev are to be commended for their bold stand on behalf of Jewish rights.

The situation has simply become intolerable and Knesset action is long overdue.

To fully appreciate the absurdity of the police’s behavior, consider the case of activist Yehuda Glick, who has dedicated his life to educating the public about the Temple Mount. For years, Glick has taken countless groups to the site, explaining its history and significance.

A few months ago, the police informed him out of the blue that they were banning him from ascending the Mount, without explaining the reasons behind their decision. Glick’s numerous attempts to clarify why the police were hitting him with this draconian and decidedly undemocratic measure were met with stony silence.

So he launched an audacious hunger strike, which has stretched to over 50 days, seeking to get his fundamental civil right to visit the Mount restored, or at least to force the police to provide an explanation so that he can counter whatever allegations might exist against him.

This is no way for any self-respecting democracy to be acting. Government exists to protect the rights of the people, not to thwart them, and it is about time that Israel stopped preventing Jews from engaging in public worship on the Temple Mount.

This issue has nothing to do with extremism and everything to do with basic questions of liberty and freedom. The fact of the matter is that Jews and Muslims both pray at the Tomb of Samuel the Prophet outside Jerusalem, and at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron. There is no reason why they cannot do so at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem too.
